No, When you come along to a rehearsal either as a ‘tastee’ or a new member, we do not carry out auditions. It is more whether you like us rather than we like you. At no time will a ‘spotlight’ be on you.

Yes, Please book a taster session by selecting ‘Book a taster’ on the Home Page. Just be aware that if a choir is full, you will not be able to book a taster since a choir is usually full because of rehearsal space constraints.

If when you go through the registration system, you find your choir is full then you can elect to join a waiting list. This will register you on our database and we will call you forward when a place becomes available. You can still then take your free taster to see if you wish to join.

Rock Choir™ costs £100 for a 10 week term of rehearsals including most shows that may be performed.

In the term that a member joins, this is reduced to take account of the free taster and the number of weeks remaining in the term.

The best way to pay is via our online payment system. This uses 'Optimal' (a payment provider like Paypal) but you do not have to be a member of 'Optimal' to use it. By using this system, your payment is automatically registered on your Rock Choir™ online account.

If you cannot or do not want to use the online system then we accept cheques or cash.

Every Rock Choir member has the opportunity to perform at events and in performances either organised by Rock Choir or by invitation from external organisations and charities. Taking part is not compulsory but the experiences are very good fun and extremely rewarding. Some events are free to the public and these are often based in the local community. However, other events at venues locally and Nationally are often ticketed to cover the hire itself and the many costs that incur when attempting to produce a formal, glamorous and professional event. If Rock Choir hires a ticketed venue for a summer end of year show, the tickets are priced reasonably and reflect the costs incurred in putting on such an event. In these cases, average ticket prices at that venue are considered and often reduced for the Rock Choir show to support the friends and family of Rock Choir members who will want to attend that show. These professional shows can not take place without the sale of seats and we ask for members and their friends and family to support them as much as possible to allow the members to experience a professional live performance and demonstrate all their new skills as Rock Choir members. In recent years Rock Choir has started to attract more members of the public who enjoy these events along with the friends and family of the members.
